Martin D16RGT Acoustic Guitar with Case

The Martin D16RGT Acoustic Guitar is a superb, solid wood, dreadnought acoustic, at an affordable price.
With details like herringbone inlays, 2-piece back construction, scalloped (hybrid) bracing, and solid spruce tops, these instruments sound as great as they look. The D16GT features solid mahogany back & sides with black binding and, a gloss Sitka spruce top & satin finish back & sides. The D16RGT features solid rosewood with white binding - even on the fingerboard, and a satin finish. Both models include a hardshell case.

Martin 16 Series
This well-established and innovative all solid wood 16 Series was originally conceived and developed as an experiment in delivering better sound without higher cost by using a combination of our proprietary bracing systems, called Hybrid X-bracing, on a solid wood instrument. Martin succeeded, and the guitar has become a longtime Martin favorite.

Standard features for the 16 Series generally include solid wood top, back and sides, patented neck mortise, and Hybrid X-bracing. Enhanced visual appointments common on the SP or Special 16 Series models usually are found on much higher priced models, including full body gloss finish, abalone pearl rosette, and abalone fingerboard inlays.

About Martin Guitars
For well over a century and a half, the Martin Guitar Company has been continuously producing acoustic instruments that are acknowledged to be the finest in the world.

The Martin Guitar Company has, through the years, managed to survive with each succeeding generation from C. F. Martin, Sr.'s Stauffer influenced creations of the 1830s to recent developments introduced by C. F. Martin IV. Continuous operation under family management is a feat bordering on the remarkable, reflecting six generations of dedication to the guitarmaker's craft. In or out of the music industry, C. F. Martin has few rivals for sheer staying power.

Throughout its colorful history, the company has adapted successfully to continual changes in product design, distribution systems, and manufacturing methods. In spite of the many changes, C. F. Martin has never veered away from its initial commitment to quality. The concern for producing the finest instruments possible in 1833 is especially in evidence today at Martin's expanded facility in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
